Meet Jason Avant

Welcome to my blog. I am the Student Pastor for reVerb student ministries in Jackson, TN. My beautiful wife and I have a passion for young people and a desire to see them go forward in the Kingdom of God. While many write off this generation of youth, we sign them up to be a part of the greatest thing this world has ever seen. That is, Jesus Christ and an opportunity to develop a personal relationship with Him.

On top of being student pastor, I am the music director as well. Music is a fun way to escape the pressures of life. Especially when dealing with life, one can find peace and a release by listening to the sounds of Israel Houghton, Ricardo Sanchez, and the many others who are skilled professionals in music. Right now, my favorite song is “Hold On” written by Daniel Glover and performed by Indiana Bible College. Another favorite is “Moving Forward” by Israel Houghton and Ricardo Sanchez.

I wish to use this site as a place for hope, courage, faith building, laughter for the soul, and just everyday issues that we face as a nation. I feel in today’s world, one must hold on to the values and the truths that are given in God’s Word. Therefore, most, if not all, posts will have a “God Twist” and will reflect on scriptures throughout the Bible to give a little peace in the middle of life’s storm.

Take a look at my link suggestions, previous entries, and whatever else you can get involved in while visiting this site.

God Bless,

Jason
