A little update…

Hey guys and gals! I am officially full time with our church and I’m loving it! You have no idea how pumped and excited I am about this! The only thing that stinks is not having an office to work out of. However, our building is coming along at a fast pace. For the sake of humor, here’s my temporary office!

Okay – all jokes aside. Not many people get to work in a recliner all day huh?! — JUST KIDDING. I do not sit on my rear all day long doing nothing. I will be VERY busy as Pastor Lance has already informed me and the church of this truth! But, this is the place where I do spend most of my time preparing my messages and where I work on graphics.

On a “for real” serious note: Take a look at the brick work going up!

So … the trip to Louisiana Camp was amazing! I’m positive that this will become one of my vacation spots and conferences that I will attend for spiritual growth. As a minister, I too need the preaching of the Word. And boy, did we get some good word on Thursday Night from Pastor Jerry Dean. Take a look at a couple of pictures I snapped with my iPhone.

#3 - Day session in which Harold Hoffman preaching with INCREDIBLE insight – great theologian!

FINALLY – we took our students to POA for the Friday Night Youth Convention service with Aaron Soto. He preached a very TIMELY word of “It’s not a Power Problem, It’s a Prayer Problem.” He preached about how the church has power but before the power can be released, we must first PRAY. We’re so quick to speak on the Power of God but ever happened to praying to the God of the Power? Man … such a good word. I will order the CD for sure!

Oh Yeah — BTW … Check out the coolest music department “corner” on the planet and in the UPCI. Kevin Howard is, BY FAR the most talented music ministers I know. He is an anointed man of God and one that I admire for his sincere passion in Worship!

This is just a quick little update. Until next time …. CIAO!

Air McNair… RIP

FOX News Reports:

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  — Shot twice in the head and two more times in the chest, former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was the victim of a homicide, police declared Sunday. But authorities wouldn’t say it was a murder-suicide — even with his 20-year-old girlfriend dead at his feet from a single bullet.

McNair had been dating Saleh Kazemi for several months, and Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said Sunday that a semiautomatic pistol was found under her body. She was shot in the head.

McNair, who was married with four sons, had a permit to carry a handgun in Tennessee, and he was arrested once before with a 9mm weapon although charges in the case were dropped. Police said they had not yet determined who owned the gun found at the scene.

He became the Oilers’ starting quarterback in 1997, their last season in Houston, and remained the starting quarterback for the Titans during their first eight years in Tennessee. After the 2005 season, McNair was traded to the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he played for two seasons before retiring. third overall by the

McNair led the Titans to the playoffs four times, and the Ravens once, and played in Super Bowl XXXIV with the Titans. McNair was selected to the Pro Bowl three times, and was All-Pro and Co-MVP in 2003.

What a sad deal and a horrible way to go.

RIP Air McNair!
